    Laptops

    Hello,

I believe I read somewhere that the Pride has WiFi from Bow to Stern.  Has anyone brought their laptops with them?  Thanks....

That's what they say. I haven't done it but the crew said it works. But remember you are at sea. A sea that contains salt. And salt and electronics don't mix. There are PCs on board in the library if you need your fix. But I'd rather be on vacation. I can't imagine bringing my own. Just too risky for damage.

    Re: Laptops

I was on the Pride on early September and brought my laptop.  I could connect from my stateroom with no problem.  Service is a little slow.  Best time to log on was early in the morning and late at night.  Service was much quicker when we were in port.

Are there charges for using the internet service?

    Re: Laptops

There is no charge if you bring your own laptop and use anywhere (including your stateroom) but if you choose to buy internet time, then you will pay for minutes.  They charge to your room like everything else.  There are usually "computer" rooms somewhere on the ship.

    Re: Laptops

Thanks so much for the info.  The last time I went cruising I used the ship's computers.

I naturally thought that there would be no charge if you bring your own.  It appears it is the same price that I paid last time to use their computers.  Thanks for giving me the heads up....I appreciate it.
