We plan to go to Paradise beach, but would like to do some shopping afterwards.  Does anyone know where the shops/malls that are close to this pier?

There are lots and lots of shops right there at the pier.  It's a fun area and you could spend an hour or two there just browsing the shops and having a drink and people watching!  Its a nice area.

Yup, you have to walk THROUGH the shopping area to get back on the ship so just leave the beach an hour or two early and plan to shop your way back on board!  Remember, leave a little extra time to stop at one of the local establishments for one last Mexican Marquerita!
