We have also left expensive item sitting out in the open and never had a problem. It might be wiser to put it in the bottom of the closet or a drawer. It is still only 50 degrees outside. My dh finally decided to turn on the heat. It does feel good. Got to go.

We used to leave expensive items out in the open also. However, when the stewards are cleaning your cabin, the cabin door is open. Should the steward be in the storeroom looking for supplies or in your bathroom cleaning it, a dishonest person could easily slip into your cabin and out with your valuables in a matter of seconds, if they are readily visible from the hallway. Please remember, the steward is there to maintain your cabin in perfect condition, not to monitor your valuables.

I've only been off the Holiday for a short time, and I'm already having fits of melancholy. I guess unless we can cruise every two months, I'll probably never be satisfied again.
Our 7 YO and 6 YO grandsons decided that they would prefer a Thanksgiving Cruise to Key West and Cozumel on the Destiny to Thanksgiving in Orlando/Kissimmee this November. We must be teaching them well. Thanks for an excuse for my booking another cruise, guys!

We went on two Norwegian Cruise Line Tramp Steamer Cruises - Thank goodness we were too busy on our honeymoon in 1978 to realize how crummy the cruise actually was - Then they ruined our 2007 Hawaii Cruise that was my retirement gift from my wife - Two chances is enough! - Never again!
Our current future dream cruise is 15 days back-to-back on the Freedom / 8-day Eastern (Fort Lauderdale) and the Valor / 7-day Western (Port of Miami) with a 45 minute private shuttle ride in between the two Fun Ships.
