    Empress deck room#7244

My husband and I are scheduled for our 1st cruise on 07-26-10. This is our 25th anniversary. Our TA booked us in room 7244 on Empress deck. Has anyone stayed in or around this room??? Would appreciate any reviews.

I'm booked for 7246 in a couple of weeks - I'll try to remember to come back and give you the skinny!

We just got back on 10/29 and had a room on the odd numbered side.  The rooms are clean and neat but smaller than a hotel or motel.  The only problem I had was that I kept stubbing my toes because I would forget to step up to go out on the balcony or into the bathroom.  Hope you all have  good trip.

Hi Wild One, did you go on the Eastern Caribbean cruise? I'm trying to find someone who can answer my question as to whether or not there are locker rentals available on Half Moon Cay but haven't had any luck. If you stopped there and know the answer I sure would appreciate your insight! Smile

Sorry, I can't help you there, we went on the western Caribbean cruise.  I saw lockers in the island village shopping center in Ocho Rios, Jamaica but i haven't been on the eastern cruise yet.

Okay, just back from our stay in 7246. I saw your room when the door was open and it looks just like ours so this should be a fair comparison. We were two female friends traveling together so we had the beds separated, though when we left this morning they had pushed them back together for the couple who was set to stay on the next cruise. Even with the beds separate there was enough room for us to enjoy ourselves. We probably spent more time in our cabin than most people since we're not big partiers - the cabin steward Marlon kept the place spotless for us. There was a small sofa (though it did tend to sink towards the middle so good thing you're with your hubby - my friend and I didn't really want to snuggle that close together!) We had plenty of closet space, and even though everyone talked about the small showers I didn't think it was so bad - they were about 3/4 the size of a shower in a bathtub, if I had to estimate. They had shampoo and shower gel in a dispenser on the wall but no conditioner so bring your own. There is a hair dryer built into the wall, though it isn't very powerful. We loved the balcony - so many beautiful sunsets were viewed from that spot. There were two charis and a small table on the balcony and the railing is transparent so you have a great view even when you're seated. I'm sure you will really enjoy your stay, I know we did! If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask - I'll be happy to answer any that I can.
