Has anyone heard if they are going to stop the cruises going to Mexico since Obama has issued a state of emergency for the US due to the swine flu outbreak??? Our first cruise was out of New Orleans this year going to Cozumel and Progresso. When we returned cruising to Mexico was halted due to the outbreak. We heard that the cruise lines were going to the Keys instead. How do you find out what the policy is and what the plan will be? We scheduled for the Holiday the 29th-1st of October. I am excited to be on the Holiday before it retires but really want to go back to Cozumel. 

Then the outbreak was in Mexico not the US.  Obama issued the declaration because it is in the US.  Still not to the point as the many deaths that will occcur from the regular flu.

If anything, Mexico would be banning us from entering the country.

 I do not see Mexico banning us from entering the country as long as the folks on your cruise are not quarantined for H1N1.

Just got back from Cozumel on the Holiday and had no problems.  I bring lysol with us and spray our cabin down a few times a day to fight the re-circulated air.  Use germx and just take normal precautions.  As far as I know, no one got sick on our cruise.
