Just got back from 5 days on the Inspiration and had an incredible time... Few things we learned...
1. Set a budget. We paid with cash and each day we could check our balance. We knew exactly where we stood at all times.
2. Check back often for new pictures and only buy the ones you really like or you will spend a ton of money. Check out all the different stations they have through out the boat for different back drops.
3. The drink cards are great if you are a big soda drink.
4. Order as much as you want as you want in the dining room. The last night I just had several appetizers as none of the main dishes were jumping out at me.
5. Check the weather before you go. We were so glad to have sweat jackets and jeans with us on the first few days as well as at night the show room is cool.
6. Set your own time schedule and do as little or as much as you want. Everyone has different tastes and there is a little of everything. You just need to look for it. The daily Capers have all the information you need.
7. If possible do self assist to get off. We were on the Emperess Deck and were called off first. We were off the boat by 8:15 in our car by 8:30 and home by 9:30....
8. Get to know your wait staff and other servers.
9. Get there early on the 1st day. We got there about 10:30 and were on the ship by 11:30. Had lunch and had plenty of time to explore before we sailed.
10. Get to know your tablemates.
11. If you have not booked an excursion in Mexico. Consider finding Felipe at the taxi center. He took us on a tour we will never forget...It was 100.00 for 6 of us and we spent almost 5 hours shopping and driving all over Cozumel. We saw the real Cozumel. And then saw the amazing Coast Line. We saw things we never would had seen had we just shopped as planned. Felipe knew so much and took the time to explain things to us. He stopped wherever we asked and took us to places we never knew existed.
That is it for now.. Hope all those sailing on the Inspiration in the future had as wonderful trip as we did...
