not sure if using the color card stock would be good..  since the luggage tags are color.  it might do more to confuse the porters at the port and the people who deliver the bags to your cabin....

    CruiseLover:

I was bummed out to find out I had to print everything!  I'm really going to miss the luggage tags when I start scrapping our cruise.  I always used them on a scrapbook page.  Sad  Maybe I can get one from the receptionist?

You can scrapbook your tags you print, and don't forget, you will get tags from the ship when you debark, so you can also use those!

Or, as VAcruiser said, ask the porter for one.

Re: What happened to paper cruise docs

I understand Carnival need/want to save money on the printing and mailing documents....BUT you knew the but was coming right? Luggage tags printed by the customer and then we have to make sure they are attached in hopes they stay with the bag? Luggage tags are available at the port this is true but I hear they do run out from time to time. Carnival should follow some of the other cruise lines and let the passenger print all docs BUT the luggage tags will still be mailed. I have had my bags lost on a cruise and it is NO fun showing up for dinner in the shorts you arrived in. :-) Just my 2 1/2 cents :-)

I have been using the tags that you print off and so have the people I sail with and have never had a problem with them coming off.....  Now that i have said something I hope I haven't jinxed myself...

what some people do is to use packing tape on them to make them a little sturdier and then use a zip tie to attach them to the suitcase.... I just staple them on.

Re: What happened to paper cruise docs

This summer I laminated mine and used Zip Ties to attach them. It worked well but I have to also add that I was traveling with a group of family and friends and offered to do this every everyone.....what was I thinking? Now I have a group @ work of 80 people that I will have to do the same for.....YIKES!

I read in another post thatyou wrote that youhave sailed on the Valor in room 7447. We have this room in March. Do you have picture? Did the bed face the windows?

I'd love and tips, advice or any things about your trip that you would like to share.

    Thanks.

The whole point is though, that you shouldn't have to do your own little craft project, buying all kinds of sticky tape and staplers and zip ties to make your luggage tags etc. after spending thousands of dollars on a cruise.  Also, what happens if you don't have a working printer or a computer?  Just my two cents here, but I think to send out some luggage tags would not break the bank.
