    Honeymoon Question

We are going on our honeymoon! We were just wondering if anyone has previously gone on their honeymoon on the Conquest. Is anyone planning on going? Is there any special activities or anything else for Newly weds/honeymooners.

    Re: Honeymoon Question

    Hey, Jobe!

    What date are you cruising?

We were married on the Conquest last November and are going on our 1st anniversary cruise this November.

When are you getting married?  There's a Newlywed Game held during the cruise (Tuesday?) that is an absolute blast!  They choose 3 couples: the couple married the longest, the couple married the soonest and a couple in between (married about 25 years or so).  We were married at 2:00, before the ship left port and for the life of me I can't figure out how a couple was legally married on the ship the next day.  Anyway, they played and not us.

It was a GREAT game!  The couple that was married the longest won by a longshot.  They'd been married 60 years and STILL held up their membership in the Balcony Club!!!  As they were leaving the stage at the end of the game, the husband was asked what his secrets were to keeping the longevity and love going in his marriage.  His answer was that "Life is Short.  Always eat your dessert first."  DH and I still laugh and philosophize about that comment!

If you want, you can go to the online Bon Voyage department and pay about $35 for room decorations so they'll be up when you get to your room.  Just a great added touch to the honeymoon!!

    Congratulations!!!

    Beth

    Re: Honeymoon Question

we took our honeymoon cruise in march 09, newlywed game is a definate suggestion, it is hilarious and you can also learn alot about each other from playing the game yourselves. The waiter in the dining room sang "happy honeymoon" to us in front of literally everyone in the dining room (was a little embarrasing but was fun lol) you can get champagne and flowers and even special desserts made for your occasion. Congrats and have fun!!
