    Atlantis--

Has anyone else ever been? Is it worth it to pay the $150 pp fee to go or can we just taxi over there and pay to get into the waterpark?

You can take a taxi and pay to get in but they only sell so many wristbands and it is first come first serve so you may not get one that way.  I don't think it is much cheaper that way either.

We have done this a few times and we are going again next month.  I think it is about how much you like waterparks.  My family and I love them, we go to them all over our area all summer so we appreciate how much better this one is than most.  If you are not a big fan, you may find that it is not worth the price.  I recommend everyone trying it atleast once if they can afford it and they enjoy this type of thing.

We usually book at room at the Comfort Suites next door, this gives you full access to the Atlantis.  Depending on the rate and how many people you have in your party it can save you quite a bit, if there are only 2 after taxed it usually ends up being about the same.

Just a few notes about the property.  They do not accept cash outside.  If you want to eat or drink outside or you want to rent a locker you have to have a credit card with you.  Lockers are first come first serve.  The food outside is similar to amusement park quality and prices...DO NOT LEAVE FOOD UNATTENDED even for a second, there will be a feeding frenzy with the birds.

If you don't have kids with you on the way back from Atlantis stop at Senior Frogs and get a Goombay Smash in a yard glass...YUM!

    Have fun, I love Nassau.

I totally agree for some it could be a great value. However I guess I am the one that if it can happen to it does. While riding around the Non Lazy river on about trip 6 my round float and me found ourselves in a bad spot at a bad time. Rounding one corner where a large wave comes down caught me sideways and slammed me (210 lbs)  onto the wall banging my head elbow and breaking a knuckle on my right hand. So please do pay attention to the warning signs. I laughed when I read them before my first trip, I did not know the rapids were really RAPIDS but it was still fun especially when you get to the point that you have to ride to conveyor back to the top and they make you go backwards I was afraid of what lay ahead.

We love waterparks, but I just can't see paying $300 total for a few hours! If it is cheaper to go there and then buy a braclet vs. off the ship, then that may be what we do! Does anyone know the price of the armbands are once you are there?

We took a $3 each way ferry ride and did the very short "free" tour of the acquarium.  I didn't price the full tour while at the hotel, but I would imagine that it was a lot cheaper going through the hotel then Carnival.

OK, here's our take. We went to Atlantis in March 2008. Although VERY pricey, it was worth every penny.Where else can you ride a lazy river thruough a shark tank? The waterpark was amazing, even though I broke a toe riding one of the water slides on the pyramid (slammed into the pool bottom). It hurt, I hobbled the rest of the day, but am ready to go again. We're booked for the 4-17-2010 cruise on the Fascination. Once we are pruned at the waterpark, we're getting dressed up for an evening in Nassau.
