Wow, we have 2 things in common actually 3:-)  My birthday is in March also and i have relatives in Mississippi which is where i am from.  I live in North Carolina now.  The third is just enjoying cruising.  We are planning on booking the Dream next summer.  I can hardly wait.  

What part of Mississippi is your family in?  Mine are all on the Gulf Coast...Katrina Land.

First cruise?  Well I have to fess up that my first cruise was not on Carnival, it was on NCL Majesty Boston to Bermuda, May 11, 2003.   I was still living in California and getting ready to move to NH when Bill called, said he found a great deal and we should do it (he already had at least 10 cruises under his belt at that time, most on Carnival).   That was only a couple of months before the cruise, around mid March.  Oh man talk about over the top excited!  My first cruise PLUS it was to Bermuda where I lived for four years as a kid.   I think I called every single person I knew the day it was booked. 

As for pre-cruise excitement, yep, there was much but I was also so busy and excited about moving to NH and in with Bill (moved here a few weeks before the cruise) that I didn't have much time to be obsessed.   Bill took pictures of me when we first boarded the ship, on my cell phone...  the heck with the east to west coast time difference (was around 11:00am here on a Sunday) again calling everyone I could think of back home to say I was on a cruise ship!  Six years later, fourteen Carnival cruises and one other NCL Majesty cruise, and I would say, yep, I got addicted pretty darn quick!

I used the welcome back program in May 09 after having sailed in March 09. When I booked the second cruise I was not aware of the program but learned about it on this site. I called back and was told they were no longer doing it. I also have read on this site that sometimes people get different answers from different PVP on the same topic.  So I called back , talked to a different PVP and got 100 onboard credit on my S&S. (50 pp). Perhaps you are correct and it is no longer available now. Maybe they gave it to me because of my cruising history with them? (barely platinum) All I know it was nice starting my cruise with a negative balance on my S&S.

I am from Jackson, Mississippi.   I have my mother with me for a couple of months and she lives in Jackson.

I am still waiting for my first cruise (115 days away), and I am plenty excited too.  I am glad that Carnival has this site as I am learning alot of helpfull tidbits about what to expect.  We are also going to Nassau and Grand Turk, but not Half Moon Cay......will be going to San Juan and St Thomas.  Our ship will be the Glory.

I booked my first cruise in June for January. I couldn't wait so booked an earlier one and went in July. I was so addicted I am going on another one Saturday.  Wondering if I can wait until January for the next one after that. I need to come into some money to support this habit, lol.

My mom wanted to take one, so I went with her.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would enjoy it so much, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  So I took Dh on my 2nd cruise and now he is adicted too.  Guess we know what my annual bonus will pay for every year, right?  :)

I booked my first cruise in July and have only 10 days untill Destiny sails!!! I have been hooked on this site from day one and I hope I will be hooked on cruising too.

THE CONSTANT DANCING IN THE DISCOS, THE INCESSANT DRINKING THE VARIOUS LIBATIONS, THE CONSUMING OF LOTS AND LOTS OF LUSHOUSLY DELISHOUS FOOD! THE EVER DIPPING IN THE POOLS AND HOT TUBS, AND THEN ALL THAT REDICULOUS SITESEEING OF DIFFERENT PORTS THAT YOU HAVE TO GO TO, AND STAYING UP ALL CRAZY HOURS OF THE NIGHT JUST PAR-TAYING!! PARTY, PARTY, PARRRR-TAYYYYYY!! I TELL YOU, YOU ALL ARE JUST TOTALLY ADDICTED! THERE IS NO HELP FOR YOU ALL!! YOU JUST CAN'T HELP YOURSELVES!! YOU ALL HAVE A PROBLEM!!
