Anyone been cave river tubing in Belize ?   I have a breathing problem and not sure I can make the 45 minute hike to the river.  Also would like to know what  temp. we can expect in mid December. ( river water and air ? )

At 70 years old I still like to enjoy myself but don't want to over extend

Yes.  It's fabulous and I usually recommend it, particularly Major Tom and Cave-Tubing dot Com -- two separate outfits that we feel we used at the same time.

What kind of breathing problem?  There's breathing problems, and then there's breathing problems!  If you can walk for 45 minutes in the woods with modest uphill progress then you can probably make it.  There's a handful of tricky negotiations over roots and rocks which are particularly troublesome for those with leg, knee or hip issues, but I imagine the whole thing might be hard for someone with emphysema or the like.

If there's any doubt, probably best avoid it.
