Looking for details on reservations and payment options. How far in advanced can I book a cruise and with what type of payment options? Can I make payments for a while on it or how does it all work? Please explain. Thanks so much.

I booked my cruise in September for July 2010. I paid my deposit by check over the phone.  Then this month, I put more money down on it also by phone.  There is no fee for this and my bank routing number and checking account number were kept on file, making it so easy.  I just call the guy I booked the cruise with and tell him how much I want to pay.

This is the best way I can think of to pay for the cruise.  Just paying some every month until it's paid.  No finance charges and big credit card bill to worry about!  You can, however, pay by credit card each month if you want to.  Also, it has to be paid in full 2 months prior to your sailing date.

right now they only have the cruise dates out until april 2011,  so that is about as far out as you are able to do it right now.   The summer dates should be showing up soon.

 I honestly went to Walmart and got a prepaid credit card and paid for mine with that. I would go in, put the amount on the card I wanted to pay, come home, call and pay. That way I knew the money was taken out right away. I am one of those people that like to pay cash for everything though and this seemed to work well for us. I also made payments on it for a couple of months to pay it down and they were very helpful when I called in a payment. :)
