    Mall/shopping area near Port Canaveral?

Hi - -Is there a mall or shopping area near the port?  I'm not really wanting to pay for Carnival's excursions in a state I've been too many times....  Is it an area like Key West with shopping/restaurants all around?

    thanks!

    Hi,

I live in Orlando and have been out of Port Canaveral several times.  The port is out away from town and you would have to go to another exit to get to anything.  There is really nothing entertainment wise near the port. There are no restaurants to speak of on the exit either. If you check the "departing from ports of call" board under Port Canaveral you might find additional information.

There isn't much in Port Canaveral, the closest town is Cocoa Beach which is only about      1 1/2 miles away.  There is some shopping centers, surf shops and restaurants there, but no mall.  Enough to keep you occupied for a few hours, Ron Jons surf shop is a sight to see, you could spend an hour just in there looking around.
