Anyone going on this quickie cruise to Ensenada and Catalina? This is my 9th Carnival cruise and 3rd on Elation. Just got back 2 weeks ago from Carnival Destiny 6 day Bahama, Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay cruise (second time for that one) and I'm already chomping at the bit.

 By the way, if you ever go to Half Moon Cay get a group together and get the Private Oasis.  It's not on the excursion list...you have to call and arrange it. Free food, free booze, free snorkel gear and hot tub and your own Carnival Staffers to see to your every need. Magnificent!

p.s. I'm checking all the future cruises looking to see which ship will get my Platinum cruise....Can't wait!

 The hubby and I are going on the 11/2 Elation cruise.  We're very excited about it.  It's our second cruise on Elation.  We took it on a 7 day Mex Riv back in 2002 with all the kids (our first REAL family vacation).  Now, those "kids" are all in college and this will be our first cruise (5th total) with no offspring, just the two of us!  So looking forward to it.

Pua, I think that it must have something to do with the date.  I am sailing on the Inspiration on the same day and we only have 3 people that have responded to the roll call.

I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful time (w/o kids).  This will be my first cruise without my family. It's a "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" cruise.  Our last cruise was on the Elation out of Miami in 2006, we had a blast.

 Hmmmm....really?  That's interesting!   Well, too bad we're not on the same Fun Ship!  I hope you and "the girls" have an awesome time.  I'm hoping to do a "GJWTHF" cruise with my daughters sometime in the near future.  This will be our first cruise on our very own.  Usually, there's always someone with us; kids, friends, etc.  So, my hubby is okay with a 'no response' roll call!

 This is one of the first cruises that is not with my cruise buddies. We have a group of about 20 that likes to cruise and we go to all the Carnival ports.

 I'm really excited for this one because I got a Catagory 11 cabin. I LOVE balconies! We are doing the ATV excursion in Ensenada and renting a golf cart on Catalina. The ATV excursion is my favorite and have done that in many Carnival ports. Always a good time. I think my favorite ATV excursion was Jamaica where you go high into the hills through the jungle and end up by this pond with a breathtaking view of the ocean.

I did the golf cart last time I was on Elation in Catalina (during the Swine Flu epidemic in Mexico). I think it is the best way to see the island and so much fun!

Only a couple more weeks!

 My bf and I will be on the Elation cruise.  It is my third cruise (first one for this expedition) and his first.  We are going with a big group of collegues so we are expecting a good time.

What can we expect? 

Expect to have a GREAT time!  Of course, it's all what you make of it, but for us, it's always awesome.  Because we've done this particular cruise (Catalina/Ensenada) a few times, we're making it a "Cruise to Nowhere"....we're not doing shore excursions.  In fact, we're looking forward to hanging out on the ship the whole time.  For us, this cruise is just a "de-brief" and "stress-down" from a VERY stressful year.  Then again, we might change our minds, but we're just gonna roll with the flow and have lots of DODs to celebrate our 30th!

There are a lot more 11/2 Elation cruisers on the Cruise Critic roll call!   YAY!

I just thought I'd let anyone who is on this cruise and interested know that a bunch of Cruise Critic people are meeting at the Lido Deck bar between 3:00 and 4:00.  The roll call over there is pretty active!  

 Motocross folks know how to have a good time so this will be a blast for you. I love the Imperial Sand Dunes. I take my quad out to Gordon's Well a few times a year.
