Legend Cat 11 aft wrap? Could we get bumped?

Hi!  We are currently booked for March 2010 in Cat 11 aft wrap 4228.  We are wondering if we shouldn't try to move to 6260 (still available) because there is an adjoining (inner connecting door) ext aft balcony next to ours that is still empty?  After reading through lots of your posts, I think maybe we should try and move so we don't lose our aft wrap and get moved to a midship Cat 11, should someone want adjoining cabins?   We really want 4228 because of the overhang....due to meds I take, I need to watch the amount of sun I get.  Yet, still want to be able to enjoy the big balcony and some sun.  4228 is also only a flight of stairs away from deck 3 for ease in moving about!

Any advise, comments or suggestions would be very much appreciated.  We are first time cruisers, celebrating an anniversary and a birthday while on board, and are looking forward to this cruise with the utmost of excitement!!

Re: Legend Cat 11 aft wrap? Could we get bumped?

I have stayed in 4237 a couple of times. I prefer deck 4 because of the mostly covered area. Also, #4237 and #4228 have a completly seperate bedroom and living area. They are a true two room suite. Also, two TV's. Now to your question. If you booked a rate where you chose the cabin, you will not get bumped. If you selected a rate where Carnival assigns your cabin, (which they most likly have not assigned cabins yet), then it's up to thier assignment. It sounds as if you booked and selected your cabin? If so you should be fine and not get bumped.

Just my opinion, but I think that 4237 & 4228 are the best cabins on the Legend. Hope to be back on the Legend in Dec 09 and Jan 10...Big Smile Hope this helps.

Thank you for response, Tim. Your helpfulness is appreciated!    I self booked on Carnival's website in August, using Early Saver rate and paid in full.  I did pick this cabin (due to all the benefits you & others have suggested in these posts)!  I just went back & checked for what this rate was called again, and in doing so read some of the fine print.  Which I think (hope) answers this question, also. Excerpt below:

    Early Saver:
Cruise rates are in US dollars, per person, based on double occupancy, capacity controlled and subject to change at any time without prior notice. Government taxes and fees are additional for all guests. A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit is required at the time of booking for all guests to secure confirmed accommodations. Fares are backed by a unique price protection policy.

Thanks again, and enjoy your upcoming sailings!!

Just got off of the Legend on 10/25 and stayed in 6260.  It was AWESOME!!  There is plenty of overhang, there was always shade.  We ate breakfast on the balcony for the 1st half of the week.  We didn't feel like we were too far from anything, only 3 floors from the Lido deck where all the food is :)  and the pool and such.  6260 is also 2 separate rooms with 2 tv's, etc but we really didn't use the other room that much.  I'm sure no matter what suite you are in you will love it.  Have fun on your trip!!

Oh, and probably this week my husband will be posting pictures of the room on Flickr so you can see what it actually looks like.

we booked the early saver for a cruise on the legend as well and chose our own room- what i've been told by carnival on several occasions is that if you are booked and paid in full and picked your own room instead of paying a cheaper rate for them to assign one to you then you're safe and they won't bump you, especially a cat 11 room.  the only time they would do this is if you booked a handicap room and you aren't handicap and someone who is books and needs the room.
