I'm excited....My DH and I will be on the Slendor Nov 1 too and also my Sis and her DH.  We have fantail balcony rooms.  First-time cruisers.  Now that we're in the single digit count-down my hands get clammy thinking about it.  Don't want to bring everything but the kitchen sink but have no idea how to prepare for what I might need.   Hot/cold.  Rain/shine.  Dressy/casual.   Yikes

We bring a LOT in our carry ons - don't want to go looking for things like aspirin if we need it - something we don't often take at home!   I kind of empty out the medicine cabinet into the carry ons.  We check our luggage with our clothing and try to take as little as possible - we wear outerwear twice.

Hot & humid in Mexico, cool in Long Beach.  Could rain in Long Beach, sometimes early morning drizzles in Cabo (warming up to hot).  Very casual, except cruise elegant nights.  Bring a light jacket for Long Beach and cooler evenings on deck and a shawl for inside the ship. You can buy shawls on board for $10 and they are always running sales on clothes.

One thing you can count on is the weather is unpredictable and the weather predictions change constantly.  Last week, accuweather.com showed a high of 89 in Long Beach on Nov. 1 and today they are showing 67.

I'm a huge fan of bingo probably because of fond childhood memories with my grandparents but I never take the time to find a place to play around home.  This is my first cruise.  Do they bingo everyday?   I alternate between worrying that there won't be enough to do and worrying that there will be too much to choose from.  6 more days!!!

I'm not sure of the ship's bingo schedule, but my friend and I are part of the Bingo Bugle's tournament that is happening on the at Sea days.  It's a 60 game tourney that you had to book through them.  But I am sure there will be other bingo games - what kind of cruise would it be otherwise!!  :)  Really looking forward to it!!  I checked the weather forcast and the first two days at sea look good, but there are scattered thunderstorms forcasted for Wednesday - booohiss!!  oh well - we'll have a great time no matter the weather!

There should be lots of bingo.  Be sure to check your Capers daily to see what activities are offered for each day.  The Capers are delivered the evening before.  For sample Capers go to sagetronics.com - Sage posted lots of info on the Splendor.

There is so much to do on a cruise, you will probably not get to everything.  We still have not done or seen everything even after all our cruises.

Hi....My sisters and are are registered for the Bugle Bingo also....have you been before? I know they have regular bingo...but this special cruise bingo I think will be different, don;t you? We are in a balcony suite. Just finished all the "disappointments" reading and I sure hope these people are wrong.... Do you know of anyone that has taken this cruise before? Hope to meet you at Bingo...Linda

 We've taken this cruise before and it's great. We're going the week after you guys so bring the ship back safely and in good condition( ha ha) Have a great time. I have friends that took this same cruise on the splendor and had a great time. They say the ship is a lil loud in the decor but it's nice. so if you love pink you'll be fine. .
