any teens and kids going 11/21/2009?

We are going on a family cruise for Thanksgiving with all of our extended family.  I would love to help my 8 year old dd with a friend in camp carnival.  She likes the usual stuff, playing, swimming, talking....My 16 yr old dd loves the twilight books, music, animals, etc. By the way I also have 2 nephews age 10 and 15.  Would like them all to pal up at some point with friends so that they will have some incentive to go to the camp carnival thing.  Last time we went, they just wanted to hang out with us the entire time which is great, but.....thanks for your help,

We too are going on our second Thanksgiving cruise, we have three 10 year old girls and last time we just let them do their own thing as long as they behaved and checked in every now and again.I am usually at the pool so they always know where to find us. we took them to Camp C and they said it was boring. The three of them usally stayed together or with friends they made and could be found in the hot tub or mini-golf, pingpong, bball, etc. only caught one of them once {riding elevator} in the lobby.

3 10yr old girls!  I know you have your hands full!  Are they triplets are just close in age?  I'm hoping my youngest will give camp carnival a try.  Last time she didn't really like it.  She said it was boring too.  I think she was more worried about the separation from me than having fun.  Hopefully being on the ship again and the fact it won't be so new to her will help her relax and have fun.

Yes they are triplets, I am hoping the same, but I hardly saw them. One tip, bring a waterproof watch with you, we ended up buying three on the boat cause they have no clocks any where and needed to get ready for dinner early. We have the late seating this time...

that's a great idea!  I wish we had late dinner.  It always seems like we had to stop what we were doing early to get ready for dinner.

We will be there, celebrating our daughter's 10th birthday.  SHe loved camp carnival the first time she went cruising, she was 6 yrs old.  This time she gets to move up to different age group where they do more outside of the actual room. Would love to set up meeting time on day one if anyone is interested so the girls can meet.

We have two daughters going (one is 10) and friend of ours have a 9 year old daughter.  Once we board, straight to matre d' to get table assignment.  Perhaps after muster station drill we could get them to meet over at camp carnival or at one of the pool areas?

     Thoughts?

that would be great!  My 8 yr old will be just shy of 9 but I just want her to me some kids.  She clung to me the entire time on the last cruise but she was only 6!!!!  Hopefully this time will be a little different!

I understand.  Perhaps this trip will be different and you will have a hard time getting her to leave the kids club. Big Smile

I've told my dd that there are atleast 2 girls close in ag to her so she is getting excited!!!!

She actually told me she is wanting to go to Camp Carnival this year!!!!!!  If I can get her to go in the evenings some that would be great!  Some shows are really appropriate and some are!

Oh tell her that in the evenings they get to wear their PJ's and watch movies.  Last time we went my DD would hurry through dinner so she could change into her PJ's and head to CC.  We have held this secret for over a year now and If I can hold it another 2 weeks I will be so proud. She still has no idea what is going on.  Wink

Tell your kids to look for my triple trouble 10 yr old dd's. They will be found pool side, mini gulf or in the hot tub...never spent much time in camp thing.
