My husband and I are also booked on that cruise.  It will be our third Carnival cruise.  We are flying in from Canada on the 19th.  Can anyone recommend a good hotel to stay at the night before the cruise?

We are booked at the Renaissance also - and going on the Splendor the next day as well!  We are flying in from New Jersey and don't want to risk a weather delay. 

Hi there, my husband, two teen daughters and myself will be on this one!  It's our second cruise, both with Carnival and it's my daughters first.  We are so very excited to be travelling together during Christmas.  It's my birthday also during the cruise so extra reasons to be happy!  We are flying in from Saskatoon that morning but will be in early enough so that we will have plenty of time to embark.  Looking forward to meeting lots of great people!

My oldest and dearest friend and I are sneaking away this Holiday with our daughters  for this Christmas cruise. I feel a little guilty about leaving the families to fend for themselves but know I will get over it quick as soon as we step on that ship. We are very much looking forward to a week of fun and excitement and time with our daughters.

Nice to see there will be a few more Canadians on the Splendor.  There are usually not to many of us.  Although, last year on the Miracle there were approx. 700 of us!!  We are flying into LAX form Winnipeg on the 19th.  Enjoy the cruise!

I am also traveling with my Daughter 18. Have you guys decided on any excursions?

It is my husbands birthday also. His is on the 21st. Have a super Happy Birthday!!!

We havent really decided on excursions. We do have plans to bring our snorkle gear, take a taxi and just check out some of the underwater goods. I am a photographer so I have really high hopes of finding a good taxi driver that will take us to some small out of the way villages or something. And maybe hike up to that light house. Do you have any planned yet?

I have been looking this mornign at snorkel trips not through the ship. There are plenty out there and the pricing is far less. I was looking at www.puertovallartasnorkeling.com and www.puertovallartascuba.com (Chicos Dive Shop)
