    Traveling with kids

Any suggestions on what to do with kids in Ensenada?

I was just about to ask the same thing!...taking my son and my niece and we want to do an excursion in Ensenada, and not too expensive...

hopefully we get some good ideas!

I wonder how safe it is to just walk around where the boat docks...???

Pretty darned safe. Lots of chicle kids, a few vendors hawking their wares. I don't think you can get too terribly close to the Sunset, which I am told was one of the ships used in those pirate movies.

     A famous ship?

Depending on when you go, you could consider a visit to the Fox Studios (it's closed at the moment for a large movie filming). It is on the pricey side, but at least it's entertaining.

Ensenada really isn't a tourist town, but there are no alternatives on the Baja coast until you get to Cabo (which also is not family oriented).

In all honesty, we wish we had not gotten off the boat in Ensenada.  We took an hour bus ride to La Bufadora (blowhole) and then were there for about 2 hours before we headed back.... the kids were bored, we were bored.... the whole time they wished they were going down the waterslide on the ship and I would have rather been sunbathing.  It would have saved us 150 bucks too.

And there is nothing but a few little shops right off the boat.
