    champagne question

I just finished paying for my cruise, and thought we could bring a bottle of champagne or wine in carryon to celebrate our honeymoon, but on the last page of the confirmation it says "Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board the ship while docked in the port of embarkation". So can we no longer do this???

Let Carnival know prior to the cruise that it is your honeymoon, they may give you a bottle of some sparkling wine in your stateroom.  By their policy you can each bring a bottle in your luggage and one more (wine or champagne) as a carry-on.  I do that every time I cruise. It won't be cold, but you can probably get a bucket of ice from the Lido bar to chill it.

What they don't want are passengers bringing excessive amounts.
