This is our first time to seattle,spending 2 full days to venture out and i need suggestion.What are the places that are a must in seattle ? are there any tour companys in seattle?

 The weather from what i read in may could be rainy and cold going to Alaska , what are neccesary items to pack and also any suggestions for tours . How many hours do we have on ports to venture out ?

Bummer, just posted a long post and it timed out and didn't post.

 I am also doing this cruise with 6 family members.  My DSIL did this cruise in May 2007 or 2008...can't remember and they had awesome weather.   Apparently May is one of the drier months in the Alaskan' cruise calender.

We are also coming in to Seattle 2 days early to get use to the time change as we are coming from the east.

i am glad you answered ..i am also glad you said somthing about the weather. we are coming from florida and the weather here has been really really hot this yr. my husband and i are looking forward to getting into some nice cool weather. i know we have a while to go but i always like to be prepared as it is a long way from home.  This will be our first time in seattle and we are staying in the ramada down town. i read good review and bad review but all i know that it is down town and its close to alot of the places we like to visit. i don't want to rent a car because i figure we can get tours and we like to walk around. i hope that hotel is not in a bad place. well anyway i would like to find someone that can tell us what to pack. it is different when you go on a cruise to the bahamas and mexico. also the tours are a little pricey and i read someone buying tours on some web sites. ok well talk to you later.

Eba there is a roll call for this cruise on cruisecritic.com.  There is a few of us chatting there, please feel free to come over.   There is a group of us from that board staying at the Quality Inn on John St.  Has really good reviews, we booked a couple of months ago and got a rate of $89 something which I thought was unheard of for the area so we where thrilled.

 I am also worried about the packing although we are from Ontario, Canada and use to cold weather, still unsure of what to pack.  Have you been to cruisecritic. com  lots of awesome info there.  From what I understand...layer, layer, layer.  Also I am flying with United and they charge for bags so I am trying to limit it to 3 suitcases for both of us.

I have also only cruised in the south, so totally different mind set for packing.

I am heading to Florida in January for the Goofy Marathon, we go every year but usually to do the 1/2 marathon this time we are going Goofy.  It was cold in Disney last January, I am hoping for warmer weather this January. 

Who are you travelling with?  I am Kim 44 ugh by the time we cruise, DH will be 46.  I am also travelling with 2 DBIL's, 2 DSIL and mother and father in law.   I have cruised with MIL and FIL before but first time with DH's siblings.
