Hi everybody, just wanted to see who may be joining my wife and I on this cruise.  There have been several other threads, as well as other people who responded, but i just wanted to put out a new thread. 

We've chatted before..... plan on my dughters, their dad and me to be there.  We're staying at the Comfort Inn next to Ron Johns the night before.  Are we still planning on meeting on one of the decks the first evening wearing mardi gras beads? We're only 83 days out.  Can't wait!

 Hi Barbara...I know we have chatted before, and we are also staying at the Comfort inn the night prior to embarkation.  We are so darn excited its not even funny.  I have worked myself into a tizzy looking for reviews, and anything new from people who have been on the Dream in the last few weeks.  These next 81 days will go by fairly quickly as we head into the holiday season, so thats a bright spot.  I hope everything has been going well for you and your family.  Talk to you soon.

Hi there JoJo, Here is the latest information I could find an what we decided to do with the party plans. 

Everyone is invited to join the party on embarkation day at the Portside Bar on the Lido deck.  We encourage everyone that wants to join in, to chat itr up on these message boards so we can get to know each other prior to the cruise.  Lots of fun!!!  Also, we thought it would be a good idea for everyone to wear Mardi Gras type beads to identify yourself prior to embarking.  It will be a blast!!

Hello all,  I'm new, and we have a group of six, me, my hubby, brother and his wife, and my hubb's best friend and his wife.

the trip should be very interesting and fun, Me and my hubby have not cruised before, so that should be great.  Is there anything you guys could tell me so I'm not so nervous about cruising or forget to pack something?

Any info would be great.  Hope to see you all on the ship!!!

 Hi TJMal...Im Jason (Moose) and my wife Dawn (mid 30's couple) will be joining me. What are y'alls age range? Cruising is very addictive as you will find out.  We should have a nice group when all is said and done from here to meet for a departure-party. 

First thing I would tell you is not to be nervous!  Be excited!!

Second thing I would advise is to constantly be scanning these boards and reading everything.  You will pick up great ideas and many interesting methods to do things.  I would definitely like to be the first to tell you to bring a power strip...there is only one power outlet in your room and you will need multiple (dont learn the hard way) Also, a good thing to have is one of those plastic over the door shoe organizer.($3 at walmart) Its great for the bathroom and holding all your toiletries.  you will thank me later!!  lol

We are all beginning 30's (haha, I'm not quite, so thats why I say beginning 30)  Four of our group have cruised before, but me and my hubby have not.  I'm nervous, he's excited.  I will have to find a power bar, maybe a small one.  I already have a over the door bathroom thing, so thats all good.  Have you cruised Carnival before?  What are some good shows, or fun things to do on the ship?  I have been doing a lot of reading,  Its just maiking me more excited.  Haha.  Well, can't wait to get on the ship!!

 We have cruised Carnival before, but never on the Carnival DREAM.  I am excited to check out everything she has to offer.  All of the shows are new, and thay have now added a comedy club on board the DREAM!!  The Piano bar is fantastic if you enjoy interactive musical fun.  I LOVE karaoke and we usually will enjoy some adult beverages and Karaoke several times.  But, this ship will have all kinds of things to do and will be a blast!!!  What are y'alls names?

Hey Everyone, moose is right.  Bring the power strip but I would also suggest a small 15 foot extension cord.  There is only one outlet and it is usually across the room on the wall away from the bed.  In my parents case they need it for breathing machines at night and the extension cord is a must (Carnival will "lend" you one for a $50 deposit). 

I have only travelled Carnival with the exception of one trip.  I would not change cruise lines for anything.  You made a good choice.  There not called the fun ships for no reason!!

 There will be five of us and with the exception of my niece, we are all significantly older than your group.  I am early 40's, my beau is early 50's and my parents are early 70's.  We are really excited to go and can't wait.  Will wear the beads and look forward to meeting all of you.

I think we will be just down the hall.  We are 2280 and 2284.  Can't wait to see what the new balcony looks like.  Have you seen any reliable pictures other than the depiction on the carnival website?
