I know!! It's less than 2 hours away for me!! Also, being in the construction industry, it's great news for our economy! They're planning to totally renovate the port area with a new cruise ship terminal building plus other mixed use structures replacing all the old, worn out warehouses that are currently there! We REALLY need to work here so we can afford to cruise!

Great news! A lot of people have been hoping for this. Great opportunity for Mid Atlantic cruisers, SC economy and I think it will be great for Carnival too!!!

I absolutely can not wait either.....I live near Walterboro and am so excited about takin my kids on a cruise without a 6 hr drive to and from port...this is gonna be awesome!!!!

I'm totally excited. I'm only 2 hours from Charleston which means more cruising from there in the future :).
