    Day passes at British Colonial

Has anyone ever done the day pass at the British Colonial hotel? When I contacted the hotel they said the price was $40/person which includes beach access, pool, chairs, towels, and a $30 voucher for food and drink.,

I had requested information on this day pass, and the lady told me that they are dredging the harbor to make way for bigger ships so the water is a bit cloudy.  Just thought i would let you know, because that hotel is located in the harbor.

I just got back from my cruise and my boyfriend and I had done the day pass here. It was great! You are correct about the price... $10 to get in and then you get a $30 drink/food tab. Drinks are ofcourse not too cheap, but around the same price on the ship. It was not crowded at all when we were there. We were the only people in the pool, and there were only a few people on the beach. There was some dreading going on, but the water was crystal clear and warm for us! There was however some construction work going on. So for about ten minutes each hour, you would hear a banging noise as they were pounding poles into the water across from the hotel. I definitely recommend doing this if all you are looking for is a nice relaxing day on the beach!! Plus, it was very easy to get to.. less then ten minutes from the docks.
