    Roll Call.....January 6, 2010

I have seen roll calls on most of the other sailings, but none on this one.  Anyone out there that is going aboard the Spirit on 1/6/2010?

My wife and I have talked to friends and family and we now have 17 cabins booked.  It should be a great cruise.Cool

     John,

Only 96 more days until we set sail.  Still a ways off, but getting closer all of the time.  Is this your first cruise to the "Exotic Mexican Riviera", and if you have been on this cruise  before,  do you have any recommendations for excursions?  Hope to see you on board.

    Hi Charley,

We took a cruise on the Pride a few years ago to Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo but not to these ports so still need to figure out excursions.  I'll probably start looking into that soon now that we are under 90days out!  Let me know if you get any recommendations and I'll do the same.

    See ya,

    John

Hey John ----- Have been to PV, Mazatlan and Cabo a few times before, but never to these ports.  I guess it will be a learning experience for all of us.  I have talked to a few of our fellow travelers and right now we are contemplating doing the Acapulco City Tour from 1PM to 4:30 while in Acapulco.  That leaves us time to go back to the ship clean up, have some dinner and then get back out to town for shopping and whatever (Senor Frog's, etc.).  Then in Manzanillo, we are looking at booking the Open Air Exploration & Beach.  Will probably try to get the early one (8 - 12:30), so we have some time for shopping and lunch before getting back on the ship.  Still not sure about Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa.  Maybe we will just walk and shop.  Still up in the air.  The two excursions I mentioned above run about $40 per person each.  88 days til we are on the boat.  See you onboard. ---- Charley

     Hi Wheezy,

It is good to see some more action on this Roll Call.  I realize it is still 84 days until we sail, but no reason not to let everyone know that your ready to cruise.

I think this will be a great cruise.  We have a group of family and friends going.  Had 17 cabins booked up til last week, but had a few cancel on us.  Still have 14 cabins going (33 people), and have a couple more that are interested in booking.  Hope to sail with a group of 16 or 17 cabins total.

Welcome, and hope to see you on board.

Hello Leslie....We too are getting excites about this cruise.  My wife and I have Cruised the Mexican Riviera before, but never to these ports.  So, we are really looking forward to it. I agree about not having to deal with the hurricane.  Looking forward to calm seas in January.  We are traveling with some family and friends.  We currently have 14 cabins paid for.  Hope to see you on board, it will be here before we know it.  We did catch the price drop a few days ago.  Is it January yet?........Charley

Hello, all.  My husband and I as well as my son and daughter-in-law are also booked on this cruise.  Never been to any of these ports... so can't wait.  This is my daughter-in-laws first cruise!  My husband and I are from Texas and son and his wife from Colorado. Any suggestions on excursions are welcome!   Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth, Husband, Son and Daughter-in-law.  Great to hear from other people that are going on this Cruise.  Only 58 more days until we will be boarding the ship and heading out.  We have never been to these ports ourselves, so are just kind of winging it as far as the excursions go.  We are doing city tours in Acapulco and Manzanillo (see earlier post) and playing it by ear when we hit Ixtapa/Zihautanejo.  We are traveling with quite a few family members and friends.  I think there are a total of 33 of us.  Hope to see you on board.  We are all getting excited and can't wait.......Charley
