    bringing a toddler along

Do you think the weather would be okay for a 2 year-old to Alaska?  My daughter would like to go with me to Alaska next year, and she doesn't want to leave her daughter with relatives.  My granddaughter went on a cruise with us last year when she was about 8 months old but we went to the caribbeans.

Having grown up in some frigid cold weather, I am guessing her daughter will be fine.  The ship is very comfortable temperature wise, and if you do go out on any excursions just make certain she is dressed appropriately.  Coat, hat gloves, depending on the time of year you are sailing.  I was there last April and the temps were warmer than normal, I never even needed a jacket and hubby was in shorts the whole trip.

Thanks!  We are thinking around May 2010.  She wants to go so bad and she take her daughter ever place she goes.  I was really worried for a moment.  We are from Chicago but moved to TX some years ago where it is hot.

     Thanks againBig Smile

You are welcome.  Make a note too that if you want really nice winter gear, coats and stuff, they are extremely cheap when you get to Alaska, so even if she finds she doesn't have something that is warm enough, any port you stop at will have something.

    have a great cruise
