We just came home from our cruise..Aug 22,2009 was when we boarded.

It was very bad,food was alot of left overs. And seems like they want to show food off more then us eat it. And was I glad to get off the ship so I could just have some junk food.Like a donut,,bag of chips. Just things we all eat when at home.Also to have fun on there they want you to stay drunk!!! Well that would be ok if drinks were not $5 to 7 a drink.Come on now!!!! If you were at home going out you would not pay that kind of money for drinks.So they push it and then set crazy prices. And they get the stuff for drinks cheap......Why not come down on the price and maybe set a fee for the whole cruise,,they serve special drinks each day of the cruise,,You could sale them for cheap...one fee!!!! Then the price of pictures is to high.$20 for one 8/10. This is 2009 most of us take pics that are very nice without your $20 for one. Set tips are bull!!! what if I don't want to tip? Not all works are good ones. If I ever go on a cruise again I will ask a lot about it before booking. I almost forgot!! you have to pay a fee to drink pop also...

Look we all are looking to save money!!! So why not help where you can.

Sorry you had such a bad time.  Did you read any information prior to cruising?  All of this information is found on Carnival's website.  It is also found on all of these boards.  As far as drink prices, I am not sure where you live but where I live those are normal drink prices...Again sorry you had such a bad time but I would do a little more research before you vacation again.

i guess you can't please everyone , sorry you had a bad trip-yes you can get drinks cheaper on land , in a old bar with half dirty glasses, if you go anywhere that as a little class to it , a night club, fancy restaurant,etc, your going to pay 5 to 7 dollars for a drink very easy,the tips you had the choice to not pay it..but who wants to be cheap!!! the pics you also have that choice to pay or not to pay...you can buy soda cards and drink as much soda as you like..and the food ,how about if they didn't put out alot of food??then people will complain about that too!!!--you go cruising to get away from  the everyday life just for a little while--the donuts and chips will be there when you get back...

Ok are you sure you were On carnival Cruise ship!!! because the Food is always Great and tons of it at all times!!!

 Set tips are bull!!! what if I don't want to tip? Not all works are good ones. If I ever go on a cruise again I will ask a lot about it before booking.your right I guess your the kind that doesn't tip when you go to dinner!!! OK and By the way IF for some reason(real reason) you don't like the service you can go the desk and have them adjust the tips UP or down!!!

 I almost forgot!! you have to pay a fee to drink pop also... and you also get Iced tea , fruit puck and Lemon aid Free!!! so if your that upset don't drink soda!!!

Look we all are looking to save money!!! So why not help where you can.I agree we are all looking to save money!! But really did you read your complaints!!! Come On!!!! maybe you should try a different cruise line!!! (BUT REMEMBER YOU ARE TRYING TO SAVE MONEY AND CARNIVAL HAS THE BEST PRICES BY FAR) 

I have been on cruises and found you do not have to drink to have a good time... I always have a blast without being drunk.

All of us are not from NY,, So what do you know about all of us?

I guess the next time we need you to pay for all of it for us. Also you are just one person.You may like the food. I guess in NY you don't know how to cook. Here for a night out we pay about $4 for a drink,,a good one at that. So don't try to be a smartass!!!

Cruising isn't for everyone - but always remember to break down what the same vacation would be like anywhere else.  If you break down the charge of a nice hotel room, three nice meals out every day, and entertainment for a whole week, you may find that the cost of a cruise isn't so bad after all.  And how many other vacations could you take where you wake up to see a new place almost every day?

For my husband and I, cruising is like getting to be a kid again.  No responsibilities - no ball games to run kids to, no constantly ringing phones, no deadlines for work, heck, no cleaning or cooking either!  We can take a nap whenever we want!  Nothing I would ever get to do at home!

We don't drink that much - but get to indulge when on the ship - not driving anywhere either!  We never drink enough to be drunk 24/7 and have a great time.  The pics can be a little expensive - but we love to have something to remember the cruise by - and we never get the chance to get all dressed up and have our picture done - and Carnival does a great job.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good time - but life is short - try to remember the good times.

If you were unhappy, then you were unhappy.  Simply put, but I don't think this type of vacation is for you.  Maybe just somewhere of interest where you are in a hotel with tons of stuff at your disposal.  I personally love cruising, but it is not for everyone.  Also, just for future reference most cruise lines are about the same as far as extra charges, gratuities, drink prices, etc.

I think it is hilarious.  I know, first thing I do when I get off a cruise, is spit the bad taste out from all the food and go grab me a bag of chips and some Micky D's.  Then I run over to Bob's Bar, and wash it down with a couple of Buds which are a little skunky because they kept them in the back room where it was 90 degrees, and they never rotate stock.  All the better, heck they are only $3.

Those that like junk food, will not like Carnival food, and I know others like this person, that would before a fast food hamburger, over a 1 inch thick juicy hamburger cooked to perfection. 

The price of drinks are a bit steep, but anyplace I go, it is.  But he did say, he wanted to stay drunk so it could be costly!
