This probably won't help you, while we haven't cruised to Ocho Rios, we have been to the Caymans.  You have to tender from the ship.  I haven't had a problem before but had my first knee replaced in January.  We sailed in April and it was all I could do with the help of their crew to get in and out of that tender.  I would suggest you call Carnival special needs dept and discuss it with them.  I don't know if they have lifts for tenders.  I have since had the second knee replace and we will be going back to the Caymans in December.  I am very concerned about this cruise, don't know whether I can do it or not.

They do not allow scooters on the tenders. I don't know if this affects you in Ochos Rios, but GC is a tender port. You will need a portable wheelchair for the tender.
