I have looked around a bit but can't seem to find anything with a definate...anyone heard?

I have never heard of a ship having a Godmother???

the godmother of the ship is the one who christens the ship.

The Carnival Dream is going to have a Godchild instead. This child is the one that won the Virtual Book of Dream Contest. (This is posted on the Dream web page)

The godchild is going to be for the water works.  There will still be a godmother to christen the ship

Actually the godmother is yet to be announced.  I just spoke to someone in PR this morning as my daughter had the most votes on the Virtual Book of Dreams and is moving onto round 2...she said they are in negotiations with someone but nothing definate or nothing they can release yet.  Will be announced soon. 

I hope that your daughter does as well in the second round as she did in the first.... Will be looking forward to seeing her being the first godchild for Carnival

I can't believe that nothing has leaked out about this yet.  I was really hoping this would be announced by now.  Do you know if they wait until the actual christening to keep it a surprise or will it be announced prior. 

The only thing I have seen online is Susan Boyle?  I guess they are going to chose whomever they want but I can think of about 100 other people that may be a better fit.  Any one have any ideas?

I am guessing that they may let us know who it is when they tell the winner of the godchild contest...

OMG...finally!  How did you hear this?  Someone has to let us know as soon as they hear...I don't watch much TV so I won't see it.
