My gf and I are looking at booking the Triumph in April out of NO.  The last cruise I took  I did all the airfare and everything through Carnival.  It was my first cruise and it was just easier.  We are looking to get our own airfare, to save money.  My question is does anyone know the approximate price of a cab from the airport to the port?  Would we be better off purchasing the transfer from carnival?  Thank you all for your info.

 I usually pay about $35 + a tip. Without luggage it would be $28 or $29 for two, but we seriously overpack so it was a few bucks more for all the luggage. Normal people could probably do it for around $30. 

 Carnival transfers are $23pp and it takes time to load luggage and people on the buses.
