My gf and I are looking at booking the Triumph in April out of NO.  The last cruise I took  I did all the airfare and everything through Carnival.  It was my first cruise and it was just easier.  We are looking to get our own airfare, to save money.  My question is does anyone know the approximate price of a cab from the airport to the port?  Would we be better off purchasing the transfer from carnival?  Thank you all for your info.

 Carnival transfers are $23pp each way. The official taxi rate is $28 but they often want more for all the luggage cruisers take, so maybe $32-$35.

A taxi is a better deal for 2 or more and will be faster.

Be sure to establish the rate (as in extra charges) before getting in. Trips from the airport are flat rate so no meter will be involved.
