    priority debarkment

I sailed on the Holiday a few months ago and their priority self debarkment was great.  The ship personnel checked peoples status as they came down to the lobby area and if they were not priority the people were told where to go and wait to be called.  Well I just got off the Fantasy in New Orleans and their priority debarkment was an absolute zoo ( and that is putting it mildly.)  There were people standing in the Atrium lobby, lined down one hallway, and crammed into the area by the elevators.  Priority self debarkment was supposed to be before general self debarkment.  The crew definately should have had a lot better control of the situation because it really was a hazardous situation.

You're right debarkation is usually a zoo. Knowing this we shouldn't let it ruin our cruise. The best bet is to go eat breakfast and take one last stroll the ship and exit last.

    Hey Don K,

It really did not it any way spoil my wonderful cruise and I would do it all over tomorrow if I could.  I was just saying that I thought the crew should have handled the onslaught of passangers in a more organized way or just inforced their own policies.  I mean they so this at least twice a week.  You would think they would have everything down to a science by now.

We have used the platinum self-assist several times.  Some have gone so smooth and others were chaotic.  We came into Galveston right ahead of Hurricane Ike, it was a nightmare, most are not.
