Well I called Carnival today to ask about the Galvez precruise package. As it turns out they are not offering the Galvez package on this particular cruise date due to the Dickens. I read the fine print stating may not be available on all dates which is what prompted me to call. Oh well, better luck next time. I guess we will stay in Houston with my original plan. Saves me money for DOD's anyway. Staying in Galveston would have been nice, but doesn't change the fact that we're still CRUISING IN 31 DAYS!!!!!!!!!

ttown- This is good to know. I booked our hotel in July thru Expedia and got a confirmation 8/2 for only one night stay.  I will be calling today to confirm thru hotel - we do not need to get there and have issues!!!!!

This cruise is really needed now - my roommate who is a great guy and a really hard worker just lost his job yesterday. Last night was not fun, but knowing cruise, airfare, hotel and play money are already in place sure gave peace of mind.  If the news tells me that things are getting better one more time - GRRRRRRR

Someone on the previous page asked why Carnival discontinued the pg pins.  From what I have been told, a lot of pins were found in the cabins after the guests left the ship.  It was just one way Carnival could cut expenses.  I personally have some from every ship we have cruised.  You might still be issued one if there are any left for your ship.  Good Luck   They are really nice for scrapbooking, just cut the pin off.

 Good Morning all:  It is a wee bit chilly here this morning (at 5:30 we were 32 degrees) I absolutely loved fall and all the colors, but a little caribbean sunshine in Dec is the best!!!

Decorating this weekend and searching ads for great turkey deals, I usually buy more then one at this time of year.

Job situation is looking up here so hopefully DF will have one locked on before the cruise.

Good morning everybody, only 29 days to go, slowly but surely getting there.  Yes, how do you set up a time clock.  John

Good morning all. Seafoam,  I started packing about 3 or 4 weeks ago. As I started putting things away for the season, I started putting the things in a corner that I knew would need to be packed, shorts, swim suites, tank tops. Also as things went on clearance I bought a few new things and added them to the pile. Once the pile got too big, I had DH bring in the suitcases. Those have been over there in the corner for at least 3 weeks, so maybe I started this even more than 4 weeks ago. LOL.

Only 29 more days. 28 till we leave Tulsa and I am so excited. My DH was talking to his Mom last night and I told him to tell her "4 weeks from tonight we will be doing our last minute packing ".  All she had to say was "BITE ME!" Such fun!!

Gotta go wash dogs for my brothers dog grooming shop today. Mom wanted the day off to take care of some things. My Grandmother was in the hospital last week and when she came home my Mom and Dad had moved her into their house to take care of her and it was alot more work than my Mom had anticipated. So today I help out at the dog grooming shop, tomorrow we go out to their house and help go through Grandma's stuff. At least the weekend will go fast since we will be busy and that means the cruise will be here faster too...right?

Whoooo hooooo !!!   Under 30 days now.   Got my check list ready (still adding items too )   Sorted out my summer clothes to take with us.  It's too soon to pack for us, we use the suitcases for our weekend excursions.

Seafoam  I don't know if you have a super Walmart but Phil found large Honeysuckle Whites for 60 cents a pound.  We also bought two smaller ones for 40 cents.  I am going to roast the 23 pounder and he is going to brine and deepfry one of the 14 pounders.  We will have at least 20 for dinner and they do like turkey.

I was looking at the prices today (as I always do) hoping that they go down, and they DID!!  Our cabin catagory went down $80/pp, so I immediately got on the phone with them looking for another on board credit, but to no avail.  The best they could do was give us an upgraded cabin, oh well.  I told her any cabin on the ship will be a good one.  Anyways, we're now in Cabin 6454, Upper Deck, Aft-view with the extended balcony.  Boy are we going to be spoiled. <evil grin>  Hope y'all have the same luck.
