33 DAYS WOOT WOOT

 Good Morning Conquestadors: The day is sure starting out sunny, a little cold and wonderful w/my cup of jo.

So much to do and so little time - I just looked at my calendar and had a minor panic attack. I am trying to laugh about it now

Only 32 days to go and once I am on the Lido deck I will remind myself to finally breath

Yes, 32 more days!! I can ONLY look forward to the cruise!! I don't even want to let my brain work before OR after :-D CRUISE, CRUISE, CRUISE and RELAXATION is all I can think!

We've just been savings tons of money (trying to at least :-)) and working out! Hitting the gym hard in these last 32 days to make our bodies look FANTASTIC!! We deserve it!!

Today's my day off..looks like an oil change and then some more cruise clothes shopping :-D

Cindy and I just got the Triumph to the Bahamas on a family cruise - and we met the Asst. Cruise Dir., and his wife works on the Dream - which is now around Italy - and she loves that ship. Yes, decorating your door is just another way of personalizing your door and meet lots of nice folks (conversation starter). You may want to look into the Fall Foilage (Canada/New England)Cruise on 10/09/2010, on the Carnival Glory. Suppose to be a wonderful cruise...Kenny 

Josh is excited to hear that there are boys his age on the cruise!  If you read the threads there are many great ideas to keep them entertained (especially the pizza party suggestion) Thanks everyone for your feedback.  We haven't set anything in stone for the excursions.  We are on deck 8 (Verandah) midship.  Can't wait to meet our fellow cruisers and relax!  

BTW we will be taking walkie-talkies so we can keep up with Josh - they work great on the cruise.

littleokie - since this is your first cruise - didn't know if you knew you can bring on your own soft drinks and water.  I understand the Conquest has refrigerators in the rooms.  You can also bring a soft sided cooler to take to the pool.

Yes I have that on my list to buy but not to soon so the kids will not drink it!  And my wine will be the first thing I pack!

Joan, no need to send the pin. Don is correct and should be receiving his maybe today or tomorrow. Cindy said she replied to your email. She didn't know one was coming from Don. Will send it back if its already in the mail.

Kenny  This is kind of funny.  My husband just found a piece of corrugated cardboard so I could stick the pin through.  Didn't want it to get messed up in the mail machine.  The envelope is sitting here looking at me.  I won't send it out.  I'm glad you are getting one.  A couple of years ago I was obsessed about getting a pin from the Celebration, our first cruise.  Larry from Jacksonville was kind enough to send me one, I really appreciate it.  I never did receive an e-mail unless you sent it in the last few minutes.

Joan...same here on the Holiday - it too was a couple years ago that I was obesessed in getting a replacement (original pin broke and we only got one) for the Holiday pin. Too bad we won't get one for the Dream. On the Triumph last month we were told at the Past Guest Cocktail - Carnival has stop giving the pins out. Some ships still may be giving them out because they haven't exhausted their stock of pins. Alot of us guys wear them on our hats and jackets/vest. To me this was a sad and poor decision by Carnival to stop a tradition. I guess its due to the recession - just another company cutting costs. Still this one is a bad decision for Carnival - they are great conversation pieces... Kenny

Where do the pins come from? I went on Libery last time & this time we are going on Conquest. It would be cool to start a collection, at 20 years old imagine how many I could have at 65!!! And still cruising!!! That would be awesome. But yeah where do they come from?

From your second cruise and there after.  The pins and invitation are delivered to your stateroom for the "Past Guest Party".   But, it seems (from what I've read) that Carnival is doing away with the pins.  bummer
