Dear Cruisin'
The building is slightly old. I think it was once part of the Holiday Inn chain. It suffered a good bit of wind and rainwater damage But over the past few years it became a Clarion and got a facelift and looks to be in pretty good shape. Years ago I worked partime for a shuttle service called "Airport Shuttle" and it brought passengers from the airport to that hotel, It was by no means direct . All of the passengers going to the eastbank (New Orleans proper) were dropped off and then the westbank passengers were dropped. But the vans only held nine people and most traveled in pairs so the entire trip lasted about 50 mins. But the fare was waaay less than taxis. I'm not aware if the hotel has a shuttle from the airport or to the ship terminal but you can get that info before you come. If you go by taxi to the terminal the trip will take about 20 mins tops depending on traffic. Tell the driver do NOT take the HOV lane. You want to get off in the "TRUCKS " lane. He or she will know.Hope that helps a little
