Hi!  We will be on this cruise also.  I was wondering when someone was going to post about this date!  We are going with another couple, and the 4 of us are all from the WPB FL area.

 Altho this is a cute idea, how on earth would anyone who speaks via post actually be able to find each other on the ship????

Where in WVA are you from?  My husbands family is from WV. 

We are on this cruise as well, coming from Indiana.   Where is everyone else from?  Any young couples want to meet up for a drink ? We are both 29 .

Well since you specified "young" I guess we might be too old for you , our group ranges from 35 to 45 yrs, but we still drink and do like to have fun! (haha)

We are coming from Indiana (driving), and we found a sweet deal at a Doubletree on North Bayshore Drive, they have a park and cruise special for just a few dollars more, they include parking for 7 days, and free shuttle to the port, only problem......not so free shuttle back to the hotel after the cruise. 

This is just a post, im trying to dangle this out there in case anyone may perhaps be staying at the Doubletree on November 28th/29th.....if anyone might know how much it might cost to shuttle from port to hotel, or even perhaps sharing a shuttle back to this hotel.....just thought I would give this a try......

 And....69 days away, whooohooo!!!!  We are excitied!!

Hi!  My husband and I are 31 & 33.  This is our first cruise, and we are very excited!  We are definitely game for meeting up with some people for drinks :) 

The Glory sails on 10/31/09, is that the date you meant? DUH! I thought I saw 10/29/09, my mistake. Have fun on your cruise. We are going 10/31/09 and I guess that is all I can think about.

We just booked on Glory for 11/29/09 today  When I went to book shore excursions couldn't get it to make the booking...called the tech support 800# and was told there is a 'Carnival Glory Port Sequence Change', that the seqence of ports is changing, may be mid-Nov before the bookings will go through, and that all the people that booked shore excursions months ago will have their reservations canceled and refunded, and have to go around again trying to book them??!!!

Has this actually happened to anybody that's been booked on this cruise awhile, or was my tech guy misinformed?

It's my 18 yr old daughter and I looking forward to our first trip on Glory, after cruising Valor and Destiny last June and Feb. 

Sailfish, We were on the Triumph last Feb. for our wedding cruise and had a beach wedding planed for Cozumel on Mon.  Two weeks before we left Carnival changed the itinerary so we would not get to Cozumel until Fri. Good thing we had a good wedding planner

Thanks Platinium, clearly you folks had a lovely wedding, congratulations!  Guess I'll go 'off the reservation' so to speak and start contacting dive operators in Roatan, my daughter wants to try it, and I'm anxious to see Mary's Place.

Do you folks dive?  Any recommendations in Roatan?  You folks look like you've been everywhere! 

Sailfish, We went to Tabyana Beach, it was nice and not a lot of people. You can snorkel there and they have 2 wrecks. The day we were there the jellyfish were in (3 days after a full moon) Isla Roatan, is not the best place to visit It is real poor. If you like to just walk around  stay inside of the gates. Diving in Cozumel is some of the best in the Caribbean

A ghost ship There must only be about 50 people on this cruise that means no lines at the bars or at the docks. It could be real quite on Lido deck at night and I won't have to look for a place to sit during the day.

Too funny...maybe they just don't type ...just printed our luggage tags, I'm not ready for a trip or anything   Still can't book shore excursions on the website..., did order a new wetsuit, thanks for the reminder about the jellyfish  holding out hope it will come on line for Roatan, booked Belize w/ an independent, should be an interesting tender  now if this storm is the last for the year we doing good
