Have anyone in this forum won the free cruise raffle? If so what has been your experience?

While we were punching out of our 2nd cruise (Elation - January 2007), a loud beeper went off when I inserted my sign and sail card.  Of course, I freeked - thinking I was in trouble.  The Carnival employee verfied my name and told me that the cruise director needed to see me.  WOW!  My name was drawn from all the cruise surveys to be put in the quarterly drawing for a free cruise.  I had to call Carnival to found out the winner - but sadly, it wasn't me.  It sure did make for a neat story to return home with and a nice scrapbook picture!

We bought 2 Cruise Bingo tickets when they had the raffle in the Longe with our Cruise Director.  We did not win but the couple sitting right behind us in the lounge did win  Wow....that was cool and they we both sooo excited they jumped up and ran up to the Cruise Director.  It was nice to be right near them even tho we didn't win.  They also had other $$ prizes along with the Free Cruise Bingo too.  It's fun to go just for the chance to win one.  The couple looked like they were close to our age too.  They sure were happy!!  At least the winner was close so we could not see their faces.  That was one thing on the list of things to do in the Capers that day that I would not miss....LOL

My in-laws went on the Fantasy in May '09 and won a free cruise at Bingo.   When they got home waited for Carnival to contact them.  They had a year to book the cruise.   It is a five day cruise on the Triumph since the Fantasy is moving to Mobile.   They are taking it Jan. '10.  They did have to $79.00 some kind of fee.  I think you can take go on any Carnival ship but, since it was a five day cruise they won it on they had to take a five day cruise.  Oh, they didn't mine paying $79.00 they are staying in an Ocean View cabin. 

 Why do you ask? We won on Ecstasy Oct 17th cruise.But have not received the information yet.
