Hi!  I'm sorry, but I just now saw your post.  I hope what I offer helps you some!

We stayed at Gaido's last November, when things were barley getting up and running after Ike.  Nowhere in Galveston was clean and I'm sure things are much better now, but the rooms were very smoky.  The Federals were still staying there.  At that time, I wouldn't keep my car there.  We'll be splurging and staying at the Galvez in a few weeks and we're planning to keep our car there.
