Has anyone stayed at this Hampton Inn?  I was told they were the closest to the terminal, but don't knw how far that is.....also any suggestiong on getting back to the airport from the terminal?  Do cabs, shuttle or others leave from the cruise terminal directly to the Airport?  First trip to New Orleans, first cruise,,,,,so many things to ponder...............

We have reservations for this hotel Aug.26. I think it is across from the terminal. I'm not sure but I think there are shuttles to the airport from the terminal. I will be driving from Alabama. If you will pull up a map of New Orleans it will show you the hotel and the terminal and also tell you the distance.

 I think Hampton probably is the closest and I think it has a shuttle, anyway.

Cabs should be plentiful. Maybe $35/cab to the airport (not per person) and many are surburban-like beasts.

I did have a wonderful trip.......... The Hampton is close enough to walk but I would suggest using their shuttle from the airport and also to the ship.  I'm sure if you notified them of your arrival time they would be there to meet you. There are taxi's at the terminal
