Just booked 2 cabins, my Hubby (a very young 61) myself (57) in one & the other will be our neice (32) & her hubby (35).  It should be our 8th cruise, going for Platinum. I think it is their 1st, at least together.  Both couples have been married for 6 years, we were married a few months apart. 

It has supprised me how early & fast the cabins are going.  We have an ocean view & I know there is not as many of them, but it was around $300 less.  With the way it is going, don't think we will see the upgrade fairey. 

If more people are already book on this please jump in & we will start an early roll call.

Howdy GOOD-BUCK gang.  Just saw this roll call after going on cruise critic to communicate with others on the Victory sailing 3/21/09.  There are 4 women traveling together.   Three of us got back from a Western Carib cruise on Princess in March 09.  Thought we'd try Carnival.  The 4th, my sister has cruising in her blood!  We're looking forward to this cruise.  Since you've done Carnival before -- it appears that you like it since you're going for Platinum.  Hope to talk later.

Glad to get a roll call started early.  We have only sailed Carnival, but have always enjoyed it, so "if it an't broke, don't fix it".  Would like your option after you sail & compare. I will start reading threads on what to do, in which ports around the first of the year.  With so many ports on one trip, we will be looking for things to do on our own to keep the cost down.  Will check back later. Has anyone gotten any notice of port changes?  I am reading lots of people have been notified my mail or e-mail.  We have not received anything.

NicksMom ....... looks like not much happening yet.  Guess I look mor often because a have a couple of cruises set up before this one. still want to keep the thread from getting lost, after the first of the year, makbe it will heat up & get some chatter going.

Good Evening Good-Buck family!! Our family is also looking forward to going on March 21st! I have been on previous cruises but usually leave my kids and husband at home and go with my friends. It is my reprieve after his hunting excursions! This year - I am going to show  him how beautiful  life can be without the fishing pole (though I may sign him up for a deep sea fishing excursion), gun and bow  and arrow! The kids of course are counting down the days! My husband and I are 41 and my daughters are 9 and 10. March will be the perfect time as we usually have a load of snow  up here in WI!

 Glad to see someone join the roll call. I have not looked at excursions or hotel (we are staying Sat.night before & Sun. night after).  We have our Niece & her husband, early 30's, this trip.  I am not the adventure sort, but hubby & niece are so they will be up for parasailing, zip line, any of that kind of stuff. I am more of the musumes, shopping, walking tours. We all or more of a strike out on our own, than groups, so I will be doing a lot of looking on the boards for what to do. I'll bite . . . We're on for the 21st to the 28th.  Returned from a cruise in October (my husband took me for my big 5-0 birthday).  This time (it'll be our third with the kids, fifth together) the whole family is going.  We like to pretend we're much more fun than our age suggests.  We're bringing our 16 year old daughter and almost 13 year old son.  Just got word we'll also be meeting a friend we met on our last cruise.  It was his first and he had so much fun he's joining us again on this one.  May I ask where you are staying the Saturday night before.  I am trying to talk my husband into going a day early since we're having a difficult time finding a convenient flight (from Chicago), but now he's whining about spending the extra money.  Keep in touch!  We'll be seeing you all in the spring.

It's been a while since I've been on. Generally check at work, though my signin information at home, and I forgot my password!    Nick is my "son", and I have a 29 year old daughter.  Just biding time till March 21!   My group is arriving San Juan on Sat to take in Old San Juan and to be there without any worries about air travel.   Once I read all your posts, I'll get back.  In the meantime, I'd better get to work.

Michelle,  Where abouts in WI?  I have a cousin in Gleason.  My group is staying in Old San Juan on the night of March 20 because we wanted to be there to start vacation early!  Rates at some places are not so bad,  We all thought it a good idea to get there one day early.

We haven't booked a room yet, but have started looking.  Want to stay around Old San Juan, it is close to the port & you can take a trolly around.  We are also staying the Sunday night we return, hear the airport is a mess.  Lots of ship come in on Sunday & everyone is trying to fly home.  We will most likely not get back to San Juan for a long time, so a couple of nights hotel room is a lot cheaper than wanting to go back because we missed seeing something. I have been checking this & other web pages on ideas for excursions, but there are so many (with all the ports) I can't keep them stright.  Same way on hotel room, lots of choices.  Will keep you posted when we kame a decision.
