November 2 cruise

On the november sailing out of Mobile will there be aany extra special activities going on? Suku Its near 1130. 430 comes quickly. I will visit with you on the morrow. Have wonderful sleep and wake up tomorrow with a freshness Even you hve never known. LC

Not really sure what Carnival does for one leaving the fleet. I didnt hear much about the last sailing of the Celebration. I do know that John Heald is trying to get on the ship for at least a couple of days. Also the comedian Brad Tassell is trying to get scheduled for the sailing also.

I've only been off the Holiday for a short time, and I'm already having fits of melancholy. I guess unless we can cruise every two months, I'll probably never be satisfied again.

Our 7 YO and 6 YO grandsons decided that they would prefer a Thanksgiving Cruise to Key West and Cozumel on the Destiny to Thanksgiving in Orlando/Kissimmee this November. We must be teaching them well. Thanks for an excuse for my booking another cruise, guys!

We went on two Norwegian Cruise Line Tramp Steamer Cruises - Thank goodness we were too busy on our honeymoon in 1978 to realize how crummy the cruise actually was - Then they ruined our 2007 Hawaii Cruise that was my retirement gift from my wife - Two chances is enough! - Never again!

Our current future dream cruise is 15 days back-to-back on the Freedom / 8-day Eastern (Fort Lauderdale) and the Valor / 7-day Western (Port of Miami) with a 45 minute private shuttle ride in between the two Fun Ships.

Anyone want to share a shuttle and the $100 cost each way from Pensacola to Mobile and back for this cruise?

We are sailing on the Holiday's last voyage on 11-2-09. We plan on taking a local independent shuttle from Pensacola to Mobile at around 11:00 AM on November 2 and back to Pensacola at around 11:00 AM on November 7. The total cost is $100 each way for two passengers or for six. We might also rent a minivan and drive to Mobile. The total cost for the minivan and parking would be about $300 round-trip from Pensacola to Mobile and back. If anyone is interested in sharing a ride and the cost of the private shuttle or a minivan, please let me know ASAP. Thanks!

No one else traveling from Pensacola to Mobile for this cruise on 11-2-09? We're still looking to share the cost of a van/shuttle.

We're still hoping to find another couple or two to share a van from Pensacola Airport to the Port of Mobile and back for this cruise. Please email me through Carnival and my profile if you are interested.

After muster drill meet up on the Lido deck by the Aft bar.

On the last seaday, meet by the Aft bar at 11:30pm to have our farewell toast.

I'm excited as all get out! I'm actually more excited about the Holiday Cruise than I am about the Splendor in January. However, I'm pretty excited to be cruising with our whole family including our youngest daughter's new boyfriend at Thanksgiving. My wife said we were going to have to cutback on cruising a tad despite my working nearly every day (I get a state teacher's pension + Social Security) to get caught up on our bills, yet she has been looking for another cruise for the spring of 2010. I guess it's OK for her to book a cruise, just not for me to book one. Go figure!

Hey Dave,

Just 48 hours and Diane and I will be waking up at our hotel near the Pgh Airport. We have a 5:50 A.M. flight from Pgh to Pensacola by way of Atlanta. I'll be sleeping on both legs of our flight. Since our flights were free thanks to AirTran, the $100 each way for the van between Pensacola and Mobile for the two of us really isn't that bad. We normally pay $30 a person each way for the CCL Shuttle between FLL and the Port of Miami. We love AirTran. This flight and our flight to LAX (the Splendor) were both free due to a voluntary bump from a flight back in March at FLL (the Imagination).

We also had a problem with a flight from FLL to Pgh (the Liberty) in September being delayed for 5 hours, and we each got both a $25 Future Flight Voucher AND a $50 Future Flight Certficate from AirTran. We used them both toward booking a round-trip flight from Pgh to MCO in May for a Dream Cruise, so our flights were only $113 a person before taxes with the $75 a person off.

A few years ago I passed up on a $400 voluntary bump in Las Vegas only to be bumped when we got to Dallas. We ended up with two $300 vouchers and a $30 food voucher. Do you realize how much food you can buy at McDonald's at 9:30 at night. I brought back several bags of nuggets and shared with other waiting passengers.

It's just a little after midnight here in "land-locked" Kansas. We are in CTZ just like Mobile, Cozumel, and Progreso. I had a champagne toast here, as well! It was the cruise of Aug. 29, the first (and last) time I cruised the HOLIDAY. It was a celebration of my folks 57th Wedding Anniversary, and their first cruise! We all had such a great time aboard Her!

Hope the final cruise aboard the HOLIDAY was a great one and the party is one you'll never forget!

Just can't wait til Jan 31 to board the SPLENDOR for a week of paradise along the Mexican Riviera! Take care everybody! ~ T
