    Snorkeling in Nassua

I was wondering what is the best snorkeling in Nassua? Is there some beaches where you can snorkel off the shore for no price or is there a good company to go through that does more off shore excursions? TIA!

We did a snorkling excursiont hrough Carnival a couple of years ago in Nassau. It was okay, but felt like we would have seen more if we had booked elsewhere. Happy Cruising.

CoolWe've been to Nassau several times. Here is a link to the best snorkel excursion we've booked. We took the 2 hour tour with 2 snorkel stops. Small boat, they get you on good spots. No long lines trying to get in and out of the water. They are at the Hilton's dock right on the other side of the straw market.

YesNot a big party boat. Just a great guide, bottled water and beautiful reefs. Order room service before you  get off the boat and pack sandwiches and snacks. We had my granddaughters with us and it was nice to only have seven people on board.Big Smile

    Big Monkey,

Great tip...thanks.   We are going on the Sensation for a 3 day cruise at the end of October and will get into Nassau at noon on Friday and leave the next morning.  Like you we have been to Nassau several times both on cruises and by air but it has been several years since we have been there.  We will be traveling with our girls ages 9 and 12 and weren't planning on doing any excursions as I have never been a big fan of the ones I have been on, they all seem very big crowded.  When I saw your post I thought this may be something we would be interested in.  A few questions for you, as I said our boat arrives at 12:00 so if we get off the ship at noon and plan on the 2:30 snorkel trip would we have enough time to see the straw market and some of the local shops?  We would get back from the trip at about 4:00 which should give us enough time to get back to the ship and cleaned up for 6:00 formal night.  If I recall correctly Nassau pretty much goes dead at night other than the bar scene is that still the case?  Would there be any family activity after 7 or 8 at night?

    Mike
