    Eastern Caribbean Shore Excursions

Hi All, My family and I set sail on July 18th on the Carnival Freedom to the Eastern Caribbean. We total a group of 8 with 5 children - ages 18 mnths, 9, 14, 15 and 16 1/2 yrs old. I would like guidance on shore excursions. Can anyone please tell me their experience and or recommendation for fun and not very expensive options. We would love to do some snorkeling, but I am concerned with the age requirements for my 18 mnth old. Thanks!

Sorry I can't answer your question (I'm a first timer).... does anyone  know if you can book the excursions outside of the cruise bookings in order to save $ ? I've heard the cruiselines jack up the excursion prices by as much as 200% ? any info on this would be appreciated, thanks

You can book excursions outside of Carnival but the thing is, if that excursion is running late or something the ship will not wait for you because it is not a Carnival sponsored excursion. Sometimes they are cheaper but you would need to verify they are legit.
