We will be on the Fantasy Dec. 28. I have booked a day pass at Grand Coca Bay Resort. It includes Free open bar, buffet, towels, use of pool, beach chairs, and non-motor activities. Short 10-15 minute to 5th Avenue shopping. $50 per adult not sure about children.

You will definitely need to do SOMETHING - Calica has nothing there, it's just an industrial port.  Would suggest either booking an excursion or you can catch a cab to Playa Del Carmen, the closest town (about 10 miles north).  There are public beaches there, plenty of restaurants and shopping.  Just be sure to watch your time and don't be late, the ship will not wait for you!

i saw that one of the excursions for this port is a bus trip to cancun. we did that many years ago (our port was cozumel and ship stopped and we loaded a ferry to go to playa del carman) the trip was nice and saw alot. i think it cost 40.00 we will probably do that when we go to calica, would probably never see cancun again if we don't
