cheryl FL, I think you are talking about The Private Island Beach Break. If so, that is what is known as Bannister Island. It's about a 15 min. ride via tender from the ship. On one side of the island is a sandy beach area. On the other side is a lagoon type setting. They do have food service and of course a bar. The bar area has plenty of under cover area for shade and just relaxing. Since it is a private island you don't have the constent vendors. We have been on this island more than 5 times and have enjoyed it. If you go, take your sun screen and bug spray. It is an island and sometimes there will be some pests. ENJOY your cruise!

I just checked and it is still there for 08/02/09. It maybe sold out for your cruise date. Go to the Carnival home page, click on my reservation(sign-in), then click on plan activites, then select Belize. The Private Island beach break looks like this:

Please note that excursions can only be booked one cabin at a time.
        Private Island Beach Break
Escape to a private island resort to soak up the sun on the beautiful azure coast of Belize.

    Duration Notes Level Price
4.00 hours WATER ACTIVITYLIMITED CAPACITYINFANTS FREE$ EASY $45.00 per person
If this does not work, call CCL and ask for assistance.

    Re: Belize Excursions

I just went to Carnival's website and found the excursion. It was under private island beach break. My family went last year on the Legend and had so much fun. It is very relaxing and they have a hut with someone that gives massages and they are to die for. She only charged 20 mins for 20.00. This is a great stop if you want a down time port.

We are planning on going there again next year on the Dream and taking friends this time. They saw my scrapbook and loved it. Happy cruising!

It is there for me too when I search under the excursions from the main carnival page. When I log into my account and go into my cruise and click on plan activities/shore excursions it's not there. I really do think I might be going crazy....good thing I only have 90 more days til we leave!! I think if it isn't there before we leave I will just wait until we board the ship and try to book it then.

    Re: Belize Excursions

We did that excursion on the 6/14 sailing. It was really nice. Prices were a bit high for food and drink ($10 mixed drinks, about that for a sandwich and fries). The beach itself was beautiful, although there was a barrier around the swimming area that made the view not so pretty. We didn't do the snorkeling, but those in our party that did had a great time. I just wanted more beach time than the hour or so you get after the snorkel trip.

We booked outside of Carnival (through Coral Breeze tours, the operator was Hammerhead Watersports), and had no problems with the service.
