    conquest supper club

We are interested in the supper club but don't know if it is worth the price - at LEAST $30.00 pp.  We've enjoyed the reqular dining.  But if there isn't any live music or dancing... and will be charged extra $45.00 for the caviar...extra for wine...Is extra tipping involved?  When we've arrived on the Conquest other times, my husband really liked the look of the beef that was displayed for the club.  But I am a little more frugal than he is.  The regular dinning has a night or two of steaks/prime rib, lamb, lobster, etc.  So, is it really worth it?

    Re: conquest supper club

Two years ago my wife treated my daughter and myself to a dinner at the Supper Club.

It will remain one of the highlights of our cruise.

Everything about the experience was world class...food, service, and atmosphere.

Yes, spend the extra $30 per person and treat yourself and someone you love.

    P.S

    Yes we left a tip...

    Re: conquest supper club

We have been to the supper club twice, once on the Conquest, called The Pointe.  I felt it was well worth the price.  We have no complaints about the food in the dining room but the supper club is a five star.  I have never experienced dancing in the supperclub but maybe because we go early in the evening.  The food is fantastic, I would not recommend booking it on the same night as the cruise elegant dining, which is Monday and if I remember correctly, Friday.  The first cruise elegant night, they serve lobster, prime rib and many other great dishes and the second night they served prime rib, so you really don't want to miss that.  Wine is always extra but I don't remember them serving caviar. Of course, you are not require to tip, but we always do, the service is wonderful.  We felt it was well worth it.  Have a wonderful cruise on the Conquest.

It is worth more than $30.00 per person. The meal was even better than the regular dinning. Treat yourself to one night! Extra tipping not required.

Best $30.00 we have ever spent for a meal.  Tipping is optional but the service was so great, how could you not tip??  Pace yourself, there is alot of food.

    Re: conquest supper club

Well, I guess we'll be going to the Supper Club - thanks everyone.  I guess what I was thinking is that we have already paid for the meals so why pay more.  If we were going to a "land" dinner, I realize that $60.00 would barely get us in the door.  So, is the 15% tip automatically added to the bill like the bars, etc.?  Yes, I am concerned about money - it's a bit tight right now.  But, I always tip 20% when we go out for dinner - but if it is automatically added......

We went in to the supper club in Dec 08 and as of that time, the tip was not automatically added to the bill.

    Re: conquest supper club

"Please note: Supper clubs are only available on Conquest-class and Spirit-class ships. Please refer to Carnival.com to see if your ship has a supper club onboard. Requested dates and times will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. If requested time is full, the next available time slot will be assigned. The $30 fee includes an appetizer, entrées, desert and the wait staffs' gratuity; additional gratuities are optional and may be extended in cash or to the guest's Sail & Sign Account, at the guest's discretion. The reservation fee does not include any beverage that is normally ordered through the bar service such as wine, liquor, soda and bottled water. The dress code requires that men wear jackets on the 'Cruise Elegant' nights of the cruise. By popular request, all dining rooms are smoke-free. Please allow 2 1/2 hours for dining experience."

Gratuites are included, but as stated, extra gratuity is at your discretion. Perhaps an additional 15-20%? Thoughts on the matter? We will be visiting the Supper Club on the Conquest to celebrate our son's college graduation!

We went to the supper club on our last Conquest cruise. While the food was good, it was not for us. I felt like I was being watched the whole time by the waitstaff. It was such an uncomfortable feeling of them waiting to pounce on whatever they felt I needed. I never felt like I could relax or have a conversation with my table mate. Like I said the food is outstanding but it's not for me.
