I was wondering why it was so late getting into Galveson it did not leave on it's next cruise until almost 8pm that evening 4 hour late starting there vacation. We have 109 days to go.

According to another post (Ecstacy Late) I think, they had propeller problems, and did not dock until 1 pm Saturday.  I could tell by the Galveston Cruise Webcam that there was a smaller boat up next to the Ecstacy until about 7 pm.  It did finally leave shortly after 8 pm.

yes I saw that too I was wondering what they were doing. Yes we will be the first to see new water slide and we have a cat 12 room too. Happy cruising

yes june 27 ecstasy did leave late. i was on that cruise. we did not get on the cruise till 5 pm and did not leave till like little after 7 something. we were eating when the cruise left the port. some how they did get to progreso on time. i dont know how but they did get us there on time.i did give the carnival cruise people their credit for getting us going on the cruise and getting us off. we had a great time and would love to go again. this are first cruise and it wont be are last too. the food was great. the service was great. steve was great on the cruise and in the show too. i had so much fun i did not want to leave. i will post another post on my cruise just have to rest for now. in one word about the cruise is "wow"

THIS WILL BE OUR 5TH IT IS SUCH A GOOD GET AWAY FROM EVERYTHING I HAVE SUCH BAD WITHDRAWS WHEN WE GET BACK NO MENU IS PUT IN FRONT OF ME AND HAVE TO MAKE THE BED. MY FAVORITE MEAL IS BREAKFAST THOSE OMELTES ARE SO GOOD LIKE THE DELI IN THE BACK OF THE SHIP DID NOT CARE FOR THE BUGERS TO MUCH. WE HAVE OUR FAMILY RENION PLANED FOR THIS SHIP NEXT APRIL THEY ARE GOING TO LOVE IT.GRANDKIDS ARE 4 & 6 I HOPE THEY WILL LIKE THE TX SHOW. HAPPY CRUISING.

 

I, too, was on the June 27th Ecstasy cruise - our first one & boy was embarkation crazy.  We had to stand in line both outside & inside for what seemed like hours & hours.  They wouldn't let anyone on board till 5 p.m. & we didn't get on until 6:30 p.m.  Went to room at 7 p.m. and luggage was waiting for us.  We each got a $15 on board credit due to technical problems of cruising speed.  As cowboyup stated we did get to Progreso on time.  I was too exhausted from the day and standing in line to even go to the Singles Meet and Greet at 11 p.m. much less the Dining Room at 8:15 p.m.

 Awesome cruise and hated to come back on July 2nd.

yeah i did want to go home. we got on the ship around 5 something went stay to the dinner room had dinner and while we were eating the ship was moving. then we went to the room and our luggage was waiting. i dont think it was all the bad due to the technical problems.i was glad that it did not happen while we were on the ship. we still had a good time. want to cruise again but this time to leave the kids at home.

I work with this person and he was telling me the A/C went out on his cruise he said that was the pits too hot to stay inside the boat. They got a refund or a cruise.

Was it the Ecstasy?

He did not say and this has been 10 years ago. I am getting ready to take my 5th cruise in 102 days I am not going to worry about it as long as they feed us.

I was on the Fantasy 7-93 it was in Fla then went to Bahamas. That ship had the best band  on the deck they sounded like the Drifters have not seen a good band on the ship since then. I think it is a hit and miss thing.I love the song (board walk) they sis not even know it. Happy cruising
