    Please Tell

I understand that the dream will be based out of port canaveral. I was wondering where the magic will be based from?

I can wish for Galveston also, but I don't think either will happen.  It will go to a larger port somewhere in Fla.  Have you heard when it will be finished? We are wanting to book a Mrditerranean cruise, while it is over there.  Do you know of any place I can keep check on it?  Any information would be appriciated.  NOLA is not too far for us to go, for a cruise about 5 hour drive, but Galveston is just 1 hour.

It probably will go to Florida, but then I think Dream will relocate somewhere else. By then it will be time for Carnival to shuffle the ships around again.

Galveston already has two Carnival ships; New Orleans only has one and needs a second one.

Houston has a brand new cruise port, but has been unable to attract a ship. If the demand were really there, I would have thought that NCL or someone would have placed a ship there by now.

John Heald's Blog is probably as good a place as any for an announcement. Carnival is saying June 2011 for first cruise, but I have read that Carnival will take delivery at the end of April, 2011 and first cruise will be early May, 2011.  I expect they will cruise Europe until the Fall, then do a transatlantic to the new homeport of New Orleans! Big Smile
