I have an ipod Touch. I purchased it for my last cruise.  The ipod for my son it still questionable. You think we my find a cheap one in one of our port of calls.

I guess you have a nice oceanview.  I was lucky to get  Desk 6 Cabin 6400.  Only  three cabins to pick from. Only inside left.   I understand the ship is almost sold out.  I booked last week.  I had to get clearance to pull my son out of school, before the holiday vacation.  The offical  last day of school for him is Dec 23.  We are flying in to Orlando on Dec 18.

Sorry it's been a while since I've been on here!  I just put my house up for sale in PA and we are moving to FL.  We'll be about an hour and 20 minutes from the port!  We are wanting to get down there before the cruise!  So how about a meet and greet on the Lido after the drill on the first day?  What we did at the last meet and greet that I went to is we all wore bead necklaces to identify who was with the group?  I'm also on a roll call on cruise critic if anyone is interested in getting their names added to our list then go here:  http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=802315&page=177

Moving to Florida makes cruising more affordable. No airfare.

Lido Desk sounds fine.  We need to get more folks on this Roll Call.

Cindy and I are moving to Florida as well, but not until 2011. Correct on the no airfare and less on the driving. Just about 6 to 8 major seaports are all in 4 hours of driving. Lido deck is where our last meet & greet took place. I'm getting more excited as each day draws us closer to the cruise. The Cruise Director on the Triumph stated the Dream has a awesome laser light show per his wife who works on the Dream...

I've never done a Meet and Greet before, but did everyone decide to meet on Lido after the Boat Drill?  If so, we'll be there!

Right now, my daughter and I are on Main Deck, I believe.  It's an interior Category 4C room.  I booked the "IS" category thinking Carnival would assign us to a great room, considering that between the two of us we have 29 cruises with Carnival.  Anyway, I am trying to find a way to get a 4S cabin on the Spa Deck...I hear it is really nice!

Per the view on the ship's layout it looks like it will be a nice view, especially if we dock on the port side at the different stops. Cindy said it was already booked full. I'm sure there may be some cancellations between now and then. Glad I always get the cancellation insurance - less pain, hassle and you get most of your money back. Needed it when dad got cancer two year's ago on a fall cruise. I always thought the 19 or 20th was the last day of school. I guess the northern schools are different...

Keep checking in with Carnival - there's always cancellations - especially in the last 3/4 weeks prior to the cruise. Besides your right - Carnival should be taking care of you with that many cruises - you should be a Platnium member by now...

That seems to be the norm, and if no one esle suggests a better time - it sounds good to me. Let's say after the Safety Drill, on the Lido Deck near the ice cream machine. There's always one ice cream machine on the Lido Deck. Of course with the mardi gras beads...

The schools in the northern are out later than the schools in the southern.  I am going to try for an ocean view again. Like you said around the beginning of December. We should check the cruise critic roll call.  It seems like they have alot of cruisers.

Great. Just keep trying and think positive. Check the cruise critic site and it seems to be just as many on this site; anywhere from 12 to 30, depending which reply you read...Kenny

    Hello "Fellow Dream Cruisers",

Is anyone else as excited as we are about going on this cruise?  You'd think we were leaving tomorrow.  I already have my suitcases out.  Ready to start packing.  Planned my shore excursions.  Can't wait to meet some of y'all (yes, that's Texas for ya!) at the Meet and Greet on Lido after Boat Drill.  My 7 year old daughter, Haley, and myself

will be wearing beads.  Harley beads for me, and not sure which ones Haley will wear.

Yep Debbie -  us down in Alabama are just as excited if not more. Cindy was just saying early in day "that she can't wait and that we are going to have so much F U N. This is our first cruise during the hoilday period. Can't wait to meet everyone esle either and see our Kentucky friends again - going to meet them along the way somewhere before we hit the Florida line. My suitcase is still half back from the Triumph cruise. See ya guys real soon...Kenny

Yes, I am excited. I am mentally packing.  Got to find my  Mardi Gras beads.  I had a set from a Mardi Gras engagement party from 2007. I hope I did not throw them out.

Anyone booking an Atlantis excursion. Let me know. I am considering booking a 3 hour excursion.   Time is very short at that port of call.
