I'm from So Cal too and did this cruise about 7 years ago. We did just sail on the Splendor in December from Miami to the Carribean. You will LOVE the ship!! We enjoyed evrything about it. We had a spa balcony room, it was just one door in from where the slide comes down. The room wasn't any different the other balcony rooms, you just had free access to the Spa...which we ended up never even using (should have sold our wristbands). I would do this cruise again, just because I loved the ship so much, but the DH will not go into Mexico right now. My youngest can't remember the trip, but it was our first as a family and my two older kids remember and we all had the time of our lives. We are booked on the Dream sailing on 12/26/09 and I can't wait. I know you will all enjoy this ship, she is great!!!
